Our Expertise
Our passionate founder, Mrs Kavita Kulkarni being a Kothrudkar, and a pure vegetarian, envisioned a restaurant (in the heart of Pune – Kothrud) that offers pure vegetarian delights to all food lovers in and around Pune.
Her vision and goal were simple – to create a culinary space that would cherish taste buds and showcase the exquisite flavors of vegetarian cuisine, under a tropical-themed roof, resonating with the diverse preferences of our beloved Punekars!

The name ‘Shakam’ is a homage to Shakambari Devi, a goddess who takes immense pleasure in relishing vegetables and fruits. Just as Shakambari Devi embraces the natural bounty of the Earth, Shakam captures the essence of vegetarian delights.
